The Georgia Performance Standards (GPS) are the foundation for instruction in mathematics, science, social studies and language arts. The GPS curriculum was implemented in phases over five years beginning Fall 2004. Many programs extend these curricula to include national performance standards.
Enrichment Programs: Choral and Instrumental Music (K-12), Band (5-12), Visual Arts (K-12), Foreign Languages (6-12) and Technology (K-12).
Accelerated Programs for High Performing Students: Differentiated curriculum for identified Gifted through combinations of resource, cluster and/or collaborative instruction K-12, AP classes and Advanced Content.
Special Education (Pre K through age 21).
K-5 Early Intervention Program, 9-12 Remedial Education Program, K-12 Title 1 Program, After School Program coordinated with YMCA and Boys & Girls Club, one-on-one before and after school tutorial program and Parent Involvement Coordinators K-8 in select schools.
Intersession Program - Fall, Spring and Summer.
Technical/Career and Agricultural Programs (9-12): Agriculture Ed, Air Force JROTC, Business Information Technology, Family and Consumer Science, Cosmetology, Early Childhood Ed, Engineering, Horticulture, Healthcare Science, Technology Ed, Internships, Apprenticeships and Tech Prep.
